BMW X5 2024 is assembled domestically for the first time, priced from VND 3,909 billion

BMW X5 2024 is a facelift upgrade with 2 versions, competing directly with Mercedes-Benz GLE.

BMW Vietnam has just officially introduced a mid-life upgrade for this brand's most popular SUV model in Vietnam, the X5 2024. After the sedan models, it is the X5's turn to be assembled in Vietnam for the first time.

The new BMW X5 has 2 versions including the M Sport version - priced at 3,909 billion VND and the xLine version, priced at 4,159 billion VND. This price is relatively much lower than direct competitor Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4Matic, which has a starting price of 4,509 billion VND.

Being assembled domestically and sold at the end of 2023 also helps the new BMW X5 enjoy a 50% registration fee discount (until the end of December this year).

The car's appearance has a few changes compared to the old version. The car still has a strong appearance with a pair of thin headlights, and the characteristic "kidney" grille is made larger and more angular. Some minor differences include flat air vents, lower front panels and air intakes, and additional LED rear lights and brake lights.

The biggest change comes from inside with a curved screen (Curved Dispay), combining a 12.3-inch information display screen and a 14.9-inch center control screen. X5 2024 also uses the latest BMW 8.0 operating system. The interior lighting system is also new on the X5, designed similarly to the "elder" model X7.

Another highlight of the new X5 is the driver assistance system with features such as lane departure warning, collision warning and automatic brake assist. This system also features parking and reversing assistance with a 350-degree camera.

The M Sport version is designed with 5 seats while the xLine version is designed with 7 seats. The car's engine has also been upgraded to a turbocharged 6-cylinder in-line type, with 48V mild hybrid technology. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 381 horsepower, maximum torque of 540 Nm with the ability to accelerate 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, maximum speed of 250 km/h.

In addition to the BMW X5, the company also brought the super SUV XM to Vietnam on this occasion. This is BMW's latest high-end SUV model with a plug-in hybrid powertrain for a total capacity of 653 horsepower (489 horsepower gasoline engine + 197 horsepower electric motor). BMW XM has only one version, priced at 10.99 billion VND.
